Big sky and clouds

It was a lovely morning, bright and sunny, so Gavin and I did our usual run through the woods. After breakfast we went to the village to collect dry cleaning, post something for Luke that he has sold on E-bay, and of course have a coffee. 

I took this photo as part of my camera group homework which was all about skies. I always prefer to have clouds in an image of blue sky, it's more interesting than plain blue skies.

The rest of the day was quiet, we are having a BBQ for supper and I will then relax watching some TV. Quiet is good as we have a very busy time coming up with two graduations, a summer ball, Gavin's work summer party, and an outdoor opera event all in the space of about 6 consecutive days. 

I cannot believe we have now passed the summer solstice already. Maybe the UK should do the same as Europe and the USA and end the school year earlier so we have June and July as our summer holiday time rather than July and August when the days are already getting shorter.
