Butterfly...

...and not a very big one. I've seen these around alot, but have no idea what they're called. I couldn't find them on google either. The closest in markings was a silvery checkerspot, but it was a more yellowy color, not a deep orange like this one. If any of you recognize it, please let me know, or else I'll consult the expert! (Deb Bifulco)  Had a long, leisurely breakfast with my friend Debbie this morning, catching up on all the news. Came home to find Mae playing outside with grandpa, & as soon as I got out of my car she ran to tell me she'd checked all the bird feeders, they needed to be refilled, and that she'd help me do that as soon as she put her (gardening) gloves on!  It's great to have an assistant! :))
