Jólakötturinn or The Christmas Cat

My son got this really pretty Yule Cat for Christmas, handmade out of wool.
The old story about the icelandic yule cat is not nice. The story says that if someone didn't get any new clothing before christmas the yule cat would come and take him/her ... But today we think this is a sweet old story, and the yule cat is a popular ornament now :)
