Sneaky wee beggers!

Some time ago, one, or more of us mentioned Helebore's naughty trick of perpetually looking down and the fact that a lady we bumped into told us that the ubiquitous "they" were trying to breed variety/varieties which looked up instead.
It would be worth it, if only to see the ruddy green-fly lurking within the flower(s).

On a lighter note:-
Whose damn daft idea was it to wait until the longest day and we're on the downhill slope to Christmas to declare it - - - "The FIRST day of summer"?
