Golden evening

Phew what a hectic day, up reasonably early to face the last of the washing & ironing, and commence the packing!

Youngest and his wife called late morning to collect a single bed that we had been storing in the garage for them By the time we had loaded up and secured the tailgate it was gone midday!

Rest of the afternoon was spent packing, a quick BLT for lunch, in between and before we knew it, it was 4pm! Time to start getting ready for an evening with our friends who were celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary at the iconic Art Deco Midland Hotel in Morecambe.

We arrived just after 6.30 for drinks & canapés on their terrace, which is where I took today’s blip from. It was a beautiful evening as you can see, a lovely temperature
and a glorious golden sunset to start off what turned out to be a grand evening.

Our friends treated their family and friends to a really lovely 3 course meal & wine....thanks Diane & Ian xx

We eventually left about 11.15 got home just before 12.30 and literally fell into bed ;-)
