Palace of Versailles

We got up very late and set off for Versailles. We purchased a ticket on the way so the we would not need to queue.

We arrived and went for a wander around the grounds. They are lush and green with lots of fountains. We had a timed entry for the house which worked very well as it was sooooo busy and we did not have to join the incredibly long queue to get in. The house was stunning but there were so many people inside, it was a bit of a squash. We got to see the recently renovated rooms of Marie Antoinette, they were stunning as seen in my blip.

We went back into the gardens to watch the fountains before heading back into Paris for an easy dinner.
