Nort Newton an Brindister
A tad breezy, dull and overcast, and then showers came in this afternoon. Slighty better this evening.
Day off, and I'm starting with a cold! It didn't stop me, but I did have a lazy morning about the house. Nipped to the dump with more bruck from the garden, and popped by big Brian and Madeline on the way home. Sammy is back to his normal self. We headed out this afternoon for hike over the hills, and he had no problems with his foot. A lazy evening at home, before heading to work in the pub later.
Even though it was a dull day, my hike with Sammy was good. I love to walk around and explore Unifirth, as granny Margaret and family came from here, it feels homely, even though I've never stayed here. I often wonder when walking about the abandoned houses and older homes, did granny pop by them? She would have known the whole community. One of my favourite houses here is this one with the trees, North Newton, with the township of Brindister behind.
