Three bridges

I'd forgotten how pretty the Tweed is and how much intersting stuff there is along the way. Loads of abbeys, castles, fancy fancy houses and cool bridges.

The Romans built the first proper bridge at Leaderfoot and now it's got 3.
Railway viaduct (1863)
Drygrange road bridge (1780)
A68 (1973)

In extras, it took my group nearly 2 hours to portage the weir in Melrose. Ridiculuous but I got to absorb some vitamin D while having dinner, listening to some book, dozing, drying my tent and befriending some kayakers and getting a borrow of a boat to play in the weir.
