Peacock butterfly in the making.

It's been the worst day weatherise today, rain, mist, dank and dark all day. I looked for an opportunity to take a blip picture on my dog walk but everything looked so flat.

 Decided to look more closely at the hedgerow and I found it fascinating. Found these ugly little caterpillars, loads of them all over the stinging nettles. It's hard to believe they will turn into beautiful Peacock butterflies at some stage soon ( I believe that is the case).

I'm probably known as the 'Mad dog lady', and after today will be regarded as the 'Mad camera lady' seen in the rain, dogs in tow and peering into the overgrown hedgerows!
