Rangitoto sunrise

A day almost completely devoted to clinical work. Of course that does mean that I've lost ground to the incoming emails. And I had to dash to the central city to sign some documents in front of the solicitor. 

By the time I finished everything the sun was setting, meaning that on the way home any potential photos would be in the dark (or semi-dark at least). Fortunately, very shortly after arrival at the unit this morning, I had taken this photo from the deck outside the staff lunch room. I like the contrast between the grey inaction of the quiescent volcano, and the starburst as the sun rose above the roofline in front of me.
