Aberdour
A combination of a cruise ship in the Forth taking up our ferries for tendering duties and some Historic Scotland sites being short-staffed, meant that I spent Monday at Aberdour Castle. It is amazing how often the family went to Aberdour in the sixties, but never went to this place.
It is a really nice site.
For my tastes, the gardens were the best bit, closely followed by this amazing late-16th century beehive-shaped doocot. Room for 600 pigeons!
