Dubai Mall and Beach

We decided to check out Dubai Mall with my parents today. It is such a huge mall; you hardly know where to start. Dad and Stu took Oscar and Bailee to the Dubai Aquarium within the mall. Included in the ticket was a glass bottom boat ride. They all enjoyed seeing the sharks, stingrays and more. Oscar, however, was still getting over yesterday's dinosaurs and was a little bit apprehensive looking down on the sharks in the glass bottom boat!

Mum and I had a look through a fantastic home shop called Pottery Barn/Pottery Barn Kids. I bought a reindeer stocking in the sale for Maple next year and am very pleased with a giant, felt Christmas tree advent calendar I also purchased in the sale! I wanted to make one this Christmas but time didn't allow.

We had lunch at More Cafe afterwards. The kid's enjoyed their smiley faced burgers the most.

Before heading home we went to a shop someone recommended for 'date wine' called Bateel. Two bottles, one package of turkish delight and 500 grams worth of moorish caramelised pecan stuffed dates later, we ended up walking out with a bit more than we originally planned.

That afternoon we went for a walk to the beach. It was rather windy and cold so we wandered back after Oscar and Bailee had a little play in the sand.

It is so nice to spend tome with my parent's and to see them with their grandchildren! Oscar and Bailee just love them!
