Seaside Snapshots
We were on Coldingham beach by 10.30am, but in our haste to get there and make the most of the longed-for warm, sunny day, we forgot one or two essential items. Like a hat for Hal. So he had to borrow Grandad's.
We did remember to bring the kites though, and a gentle onshore breeze kept Nico's airborne for ages. Not bad for her first attempt. That's the extra.
Coldingham is an unfortunate name for a beach. It was hotter that we realised today. TM and Al got slightly pink in spite of the factor 25. Hal was plastered in 50, and he's fine. And the sand is lovely - the black stuff is bladderwrack, not tar!
