Artichokes on the beach

Remarkably, there are artichokes growing proudly right by the Pier Approach (the main beach area). On the slope up from Hot Rocks. They are just starting to flower. Thankfully no-ones been tempted to vandalise (or eat) them..

Getting ready for an walk before it’s too hot. Looks lovely for the moment, and breezy. Update 12:00. Pleasant on the cliff-top, but now in Westbourne and I’m fading very fast.
