So near and yet so far

The plan was to get the ferry to Coll (an island in the Inner Hebrides) for Christmas week. Unfortunately despite leaving at the crack of dawn, the ferry was unable to dock at either Coll or Tiree (it tried a couple of times in both places) due to the large swell of the waves at the pier, so we ended up turning round and going back to Oban, hoping that we'd have better luck the next day. This picture was taken from the ferry (MV Clansman), and shows how close we got to Coll! Very frustrating!
