Crow on a cross

This scene felt ominous to me, or at least as if there should be some significance to a crow perched on a church steeple/cross. I couldn't find any specific reference to it on the interwebs though.

I had to do a quick lens change to get a zoom on her and was sure she'd fly off just as I clicked it on, but she cooperated, which is quite unusual for crows! They're so good at thumbing their noses beaks at us, just outsmart humans all the time.
