Tapas at Tapa.
Shopping. Visit to aunt’s. Visit aunt in hospital. Opportunities for an hour or two in the garden with sunshine!!
Then, as the heavens opened, set off to our favourite Tapas restaurant in Leith. We were due to be joined by our long-standing friends Kenneth and Joyce who are in Edinburgh just now. However, as they said, rain of biblical proportions left them stranded in their flat surrounded by floodwater. For the second time in a week the drains could not cope with the sudden volume of water.
So we had to enjoy the meal on our own!
Came past the Scottish Parliament for a potential blip to mark its 20th anniversary. But by then, after all the festivities and royalty earlier in the day, it was in darkness. No doubt contributing to climate change targets by switching off the floodlights!
