Christmas Market

We took the annual family trip to the Christmas market and fair today. A wander around the stalls eating strudel and chestnuts and drinking hot chocolate, glühwein and mulled cider, before hitting the fair to ride the Ferris wheel, carousel, ski jump, mini roller coaster, and all the kids zorbing things.

Despite having soaking wet feet from constantly taking his shoes off to get on the zorbing stuff, Jason would have happily wandered around all day. Karen, being the trooper that she is, went on most of the rides with him while I looked after our youngest and sneaked in another glühwein.

I had hoped for a nice dinner to finish off a good day out, but the kids refused to eat unless we went to KFC so I had to make do with taking some nice cakes and macaroons from Patisserie Valerie home to have with a coffee instead.
