Xena

I had a very lazy start to the day but after breakfast I took Xena to see the poppy fields and she agreed to be my model. The poppies seem to have faded quite a lot since I was there on Friday, but they're still very pretty.

Alan went to the Armed Forces Day event at the Blind Veterans in Ovingdean, and then cut the hedges in the front garden - at least it was 10 degrees cooler than yesterday.

When we got home Xena had some homework to do, and I made a start on my mountain or ironing - I did a couple of hours, but the pile doesn't seem to have gone down!   After doing the ironing I joined Alan in the garden for a while and I had lamb shanks cooking in the slow cooker which are always a favourite.

My evening has been spent getting ready for my first day in my new job tomorrow, and Xena painted my nails for me.  Anyway, I'm off to bed now as I've got an earlier start tomorrow and I don't want to be late!
