True Blue

I was very organised this morning, and luckily for me, my ex-colleague Joan lives just a few minutes away from my new place of work, and she said that I can park on her drive, which is great as it saves about £15 per week in parking charges!  So I parked up and was at work just before 9am and in fact I was the first there!

Maria arrived a few minutes later and opened up the clinic, and then Nik arrived - he normally only works from Hove on Tuesdays and Fridays  as he also works for the NHS and at a private hospital in St Leonards-on-Sea, but he came in this morning to do my induction with me.  My hours are great as I work 9am-1pm on Mondays, 9am-5pm on Tuesdays and 1pm-5pm on Wednesdays,   We covered quite a lot this morning, but as is always the case with a new job, it takes time to get the hand of a new operating system.  Tomorrow, one of his other secretaries that works remotely is coming over to do some training so that should be helpful.

As I drove home the sea looked incredibly blue, so I parked up and had a walk along the cliffs to take some photos, it was absolutely stunning.

I had a doctors appointment later this afternoon as for the last week I've been suffering with a rash that's been coming and going on my back, stomach, arms and legs, but on Saturday it really flared up on my legs and was burning and very red.  Anyway, the doctor thinks it's an allergic reaction to something and has given me a course of steroids to take, which he thinks should clear it - if not, I'm to go back!   I think I'm going to push for allergy testing though, as I really need to know what the trigger is.

After cooking tonight's dinner, I prepared a beef tagine to go in the slow cooker tomorrow - it's good having a lodger, it makes me organised!  On that note, Xena's been with us a week now, and we couldn't ask for a better guest, she's really no trouble at all and just like part of the family.
