Sunny paddle

We were sort of on our own for the session as the Team Leader had a prior engagement. However with the forecast blazing sunshine we planned and executed a long trip of 6 miles to the nearest set of locks and back. It really was wonderful. You can forget you are on a dirty urban canal once you are out amongst the fields beyond the town. And it was infinitely cooler than the 6 hours I spent later in a hot church hall rehearsing and performing Tchaikovsky!
