Cross Country Fix

It was B's first time on skis today, and he was outstanding. He only fell three times and once was so fast, I wouldn't have even known about it, had we not been chumming up and sharing stories with a Minnesotan family by the woodstove. The loss of my sister and brother in law (as they return to their home after the holidays) was cut some by the fresh, crisp air and the silence and peace of snow. Winter solace.
