Hayfever horror

So much pollen in the air during this last week that, for the first time in over 25 years, I have slight hay fever. Walked up to the Common this evening, but there was no wildlife around at all. Not surprising really - several sneezing fits triggered by the grass and nettle pollen were enough to send any small animal running! Never mind, the exercise made the little man in the step counter happy.

How well I remember the snivelling misery of severe hay fever as a child, several decades ago, before anti-histamines were available. It always coincided with exam time, a real problem at a school where you had to spend all your break times outside in fine weather, exams or no! The good old days, eh?!
