Sparrow Making Lunch

Back to work on a Wednesday. A quiet ride in, feels like the summer holidays have started, but that's not for another week and a bit. Redlights all the way. cool and a slight breeze. Straight back in to it, very busy morning.

Sunny spells on my lunchtime walk. Patches move across the Pentland Hills. I try to get a snap of a starling with a fledgling on a fence, but the clouds move in and it's not very clear. I start to move off, when a small sparrows lands on the path, and mashes up lunch, it must have young of its own, just as the sun reappears.

Almost felt like summer on the ride home. Not too hot, and not too humid either.
