Full morning with the senior team reviewing and looking ahead.

Then a quick dash across town to arrive (late) for the Youth Justice Improvement Board. A different session of reviewing progress and setting out priorities for the coming year. Children’s hearings straddle children’s services and youth justice. While some of the players and services differ, the challenges - and opportunities - are similar.

The meeting was held in the former newspaper offices of The Scotsman. For many years now a hotel with the journalists now near the Scottish Parliament. But many reminders of the newspaper past in the hotel.

Walked back home then a visit to hospital to catch up on my aunt’s news (not much changed from yesterday).
