Land of the midnight sun

Ever since our week in Tromso in February where we had glorious sunny weather under crisp blue skies, I have kept an eye on the weather there. The cold (-5oC) weather continued sunny for weeks then a spell of rain and snow arrived.

After the hottest day ever in Scotland since records began, I looked again at Tromso’s weather. If had not expected a full sun at midnight but there it is. Not had I expected the temperatures. But there they are.

I can see why the Blackout blinds were fitted to the windows.

Work involved lots of reading and writing which was manageable as the cloud cover lasted until 4 pm.
