Breakfast - Beach

Morning coffee with Bella the baby boxer! She’s the latest edition to the family whose home we are sleeping in.

Sav’s sandals don’t fit! So we made a shopping trip to find some suitable footwear for him in the morning, followed by an Israeli breakfast for lunch. I had the salad version, Sav had shakshuka ( google it, it’s not hard to make and is delicious ).

In the afternoon we hung out with Tali and family. For the 70th anniversary of Israel and the kibbutz, each family is making a mosaic tile which will then be fixed onto the kibbutz’ water tower for posterity. You can take it home to do, or sit in the archive room which is a nice way to do it as you get to chat to people as they randomly come and go.

Before dinner in the evening, we nipped to the beach next to the kibbutz to take a stroll as the sun set.

Dinner with Tali and family, then back to Beate’s house for a gin before bedtime. We had a visitor that made Sav skuttle into the house and slam the screen door in the blink of an eye! If it comes again tonight I’ll try to photograph it ....
