Day 19 South African Diaries

... a male and a female, 10 months old, on the Rietspruit reserve where we went for community work this morning. We were clearing Riverthorn, a horrible, spiky, climbing plant that chokes trees and blocks tracks in the forested areas. This involved the use of machetes, huge clippers and saws (none of which I could use so my job was to drag the cut pieces to a dry riverbed where they will eventually be burned). Extra to be added later.

This afternoon was more editing and various critiques which are so useful. However, after a 5:15 wake up, I am glad to have a night off tonight. Dodgy internet, probably this will not upload till the middle of the night!
