Purple Poppy - Papaver somniferum

I've been watching this Poppy for days waiting for it to bloom  -  today it did!  As an added bonus the wind was down to 4 mph so I was able to blip it in situ  -  see my extra.  I cut it out in PaintShop Pro 2019 and pasted it onto a black background for my main blip.  I blip it every year  -  here is last years.   It is classed as a herb and in 2016 92,610 tonnes of its seeds were consumed world wide.  How's that for a piece of trivia☺  Wikipedia have a lot more to say.
