We’ve Had Better Days

Another early start, on the road by 07:00 heading for Southampton. We took the coast road and found a distinct lack of breakfast venues! At Bridport we detoured to the ‘Snack Shack’ at West Bay only to find none of the businesses accepted cards and there was no ATM.
Believe it or not the next place we came to was a McDonalds at Dorchester, too late for the breakfast menu it was chicken wraps all round - anyone opening a “greasy spoon” on the A35 will make a killing.
We arrived as expected at 12:30 and found Aunt Barbara who is very poorly. We spent four hours with her and Uncle Albert but had to go at 4:30 in order to get back.
An uneventful return journey saw us home at 9:30pm, hot, sticky and tired but pleased at being able to see them both.
