Black Tailed Skimmer
The Dragonflies have been out in force this afternoon and I had the dipping pond all to myself whilst I photographed countless of these unusual insects. Much of what I captured are duplicates as there are only so many poses in the Dragonfly repertoire but the thrill of capturing these very pretty insects never fades. After my exertions at the dipping pond I walked up to the meadow and on passing the time of day with people up there I learned I'd just missed the Kingfisher and was about an hour too late to catch sight of a deer. It seems to be the story of my life but I live in hope of coming across these elusive creatures "one day".
Many thanks for visiting my journal, it's very much appreciated.
