Boring but important

As a part of the scheme to re-engineer the crossroads by Histon Green we’re getting a new crossing route and this needs poles to carry the units for people to control the lights. Note how the one above is a couple of feet in from the kerb and in the middle of the old footway. It had to be sited there because there are cables underground close to the kerb. Fortunately there was space behind to widen the footway, note the extent of the tactile paving.
