Leaving Rolvenden with Rail Experience train

A packed day down on the KESR where two groups of people, one group in the morning and the other in the afternoon, participated in a Railway Experience Day. In this shot, the trainee driver, under the supervision of Dick was pulling away from Rolvenden gates and rounding Orpin's Curve ready to make a spirited ascent of Tenterden Bank. She did very well indeed with a sure footed start away from the Cranbrook Road crossing too.

Everyone seemed to have a very good time, including guests who were also treated to a gentle ride through the glorious Kent and East Sussex countryside.
