My turn for a bee on a flower
It could have been a butterfly or a damselfly as both were flitting around this area.
I disturbed a colony of wild bees at the allotment this afternoon whilst sorting out the compost bins. I pulled away some plastic sheeting that was covering rotting manure to see a nest of scurrying insects. A quick glace was all that was needed before quicly putting the sheeting back down.
New potatoes, courgettes and french beans, amongst other stuff, for dinner tonight. Picked a load of blackcurrants and red gooseberries too. Nice to see the produce coming on stream.
