Lucky shot!

An emergency trip to the vet's this afternoon as Lottie had burst the stitches on her leg.  It was my fault, I had let her dash about with a football and she is supposed to be taking it easy until everything heals.

She had to be sedated and restitched and was given an even bigger cone so she can't get at the new stitches.  Poor little thing, she's so good but it must be so frustrating for her.

On the way home we spotted this short eared owl on a fence post.  There are a lot of them around at the moment, but this is the closest one I've seen.  Luckily the campervan window was pretty clean - there was no way he would have sat and waited while I wound it down!
