Looking For A Hero . . .

It's early evening. Cold. Getting dark. The roads are slippery. The traffic is speeding. Menacing. Snow is heaped on the sidewalk next to the pedestrian crossing. You're hungry. A Hero Burger awaits, behind the flashing sign on the other side of the road. You step out. Then, hesitating, you move back. You can almost taste that burger. But is it worth dying for?
