Aldeburgh Day 4
Our last day of our Suffolk break. It's been a very pleasant trip and we've seen some interesting places. After morning coffee in Aldeburgh we drove to Snape Maltings, a Victorian collection of buildings which used to be a brewery and has now transformed into a music, art and shopping complex. The magnificent concert hall is used during the Aldeburgh festival and the August proms. We had lunch in one of the cafes and then took a short country walk.
From there we went to Orford, a small place with a busy harbour on the River Alde home to a medieval castle build for Henry II.
This evening after tea we took a walk to the local pub, The Mill, for a drink and chat.
The main picture is a sailing boat in Orford harbour, the extra is a cinnabar moth caterpillar we spotted on the walk from Snape Maltings.
