At the Campsite

We've had a lovely day today not venturing far from the campsite. It was toasty warm so we had breakfast and lunch sat at the picnic table on our pitch. The Little Misses had a fun hour in the pool with Mr K while I took Archie for a walk in the fabulous woods I discovered just next to the campsite. 
Proper ancient woods with no paths. It was ace. And just a little bit spooky!!
Once the Little Misses were out of the pool we had a yummy lunch, played boules and then took Archie for another walk in the woods. The Little Misses and Mr K wanted to see them too. They loved it! 
Well the Little Misses did - no paths, leaves to kick through, mossy rocks to climb and streams to jump over. Mr K went a bit weird - I think he was worried a wild boar was going to jump out of the undergrowth and attack us. It was a bit primeval and the warning signs in French about hunting and wildlife didn't set his mind at rest!!!
We went to the campsite restaurant for dinner. It was delicious!! Steak hâche for Miss L - very rare and she loved it!!!, Salmon and veg for me, pizza for Miss E and a burger for Mr K. Followed by profiteroles, ice cream, creme brulée and tarte tatin. Mmmmmmmmm!!!!
The Little Misses were particularly excited about the edible straws. See extras. Best invention ever apparently!!
After our massive dinner we went for a walk down to the beach to watch the sunset. It was gorgeous!!
The perfect end to a lovely day!
