Port Ellen again
This time a lovely warm day! We walked out to Ardbeg distillery, passing Laphroig and Lagavulin (the Ards Man’s spiritual home) on the way - a 3.25 mile walk. My legs were weary! Was glad to get there and plonk down in the very pleasant restaurant.
The others walked back again, but the AM and I decided to support the local economy and got the bus. This photo was taken from the stop we debussed at back in Port Ellen, handily opposite the Co-Op (where crisps were purchased). There goes the holiday healthy eating plan.
We’re aiming to move on tomorrow, either to Craighouse in Jura or Oronsay. Both these options mean we’ll be anchoring or on a mooring, which I love! The boat just bobs around depending on the wind direction and it’s so calm and peaceful. May not be able to blip from there, but will maybe get a chance to backblip later.
