Ascrib Islands
Our final full day on Skye and the weather kindly permitted a wee boat trip out to these rocky isles in Loch Snizort owned by Lord Palumbo. The resident population of puffins was busy on the water feeding for sandeels 50m below the surface.
On the journey we also saw grey seals, porpoises, gannets, razorbills, guillemots and hunners of jellyfish. There was an unidentified bird of prey sat atop the cliff overlooking the scene of the bobbing puffins below, waiting for the tourist boat to depart before picking one of the poor birds off.
Without a stable platform and a decent zoom lens, I've resorted to a wobbly cropped image.
