New Year's Eve

A quiet New Year's Eve for us - after the excitement of last week's travels (even though they were very relaxing once we got there!) neither of us could quite face doing anything very exciting tonight, so we will be staying in with Jools Holland probably. We did manage a quick walk to King's Park earlier though. The light in the hour or so before the sun disappears is really lovely, very crisp and clear. Hopefully tomorrow we will be up that big ol' rock and having a wander round the castle (reduced opening hours for anyone else who has the same idea: 11am-5pm, same as Edinburgh Castle tomorrow. This is a public service aside).

It's been a funny old year. Highs and lows. Hopefully 2013 will have more of the former and fewer of the latter.
