Beggars Fair

It’s festival time in Romsey today . . . The festival of street, garden and pub music they call the Beggars Fair.
It takes over the Hampshire town throughout the day with local musicians bringing a mix of music styles, colourful displays of dancing, children’s events and big noisy bands.
Organisers say there are 90 acts or performers spread round more than 20 venues in the town, and it’s certainly become a popular annual event.
Yet it all started back in 1993 with just a handful of performers.
