All Change

Romsey’s newly fashioned Market Place is shaping up well with a new piazza and I have to acknowledge that the omens are good.
The fresh road layout and large open plan piazza area give a welcome fresh dimension to the town centre . Okay contractors have spent six months working on it, and during that time the centre has been a bit chaotic, but with completion in sight, it all looks worth it. Particularly welcome is the level walking area where once pavements on one side of the Market Place were an uneven hazard, even for someone reasonably fit.
Given a hot summer with plenty of sunshine, this new meeting place provides a welcome cafe culture for the centre.
