Olivia Prepares

Olivia prepares for Santa's arrival tonight, a bed time story of a pre recorded "Night Before Xmas" before heading to an early bed. Poor Lily was ill with a viral chest infection so was already soundo, but in matching PJs of course.

The rest of Xmas Eve was spent wrapping, being frantic, video editing for the Oz mates, then seeing the Melvin-Ffinch's with presents. Was grand to see Mr and Mrs Ffinch.

After putting the kids to bed I headed up town to Sooz and Craigs flat for lots of sugar! Jan and the bump were there with Grum, Andy came over later. We had to leave to cross over to the Abbey for about 1110pm. About 1030 we noticed Doogie was online in Holland where he was touring with the 12 Tenors. We had brilliant FaceTime on the big tv - Doogs then declares he was glad we had called as it had just passed over midnight where he was into XMAS day - so glad we shared it with him. We then all donned our coats and went off to the annual Night Watch Service at Dunfermline Abbey. 'Twas beautiful this year, none of us burst into flames when crossing the threshold, we all have our reasons; Janis - preggers and out of wedlock (but with the boy); Sooz and Craig living in sin; Andy, Grum and I all "bat for the other team" - so all in all was a grand success! The new minister for the very first time in the Abbey's history is a Woman who uses Facebook and used an iPad to read her sermon!

After it was home to bed to await SANTA x
