River Houses
Note (next morning): I've switched the images and revised the comment.
We went for another long drive in the French Vercors area, in search of butterflies, birds, plants and more. After our usual picnic lunch, in a particularly pleasant setting, we headed back, with a special treat awaiting us: ice cream. As the small town (Pont en Royans) was jammed (it's the Bastille Day weekend); we had to park on a lower level and climb to get our treats, using the spiral staircase in the extra. (As some of you may remember, I love shadow images.) The town is known for its houses high over the river. (the spiral staircase is beyond the railing on the upper left).
