Kendal

It was a little overcast today and rain threatened so we decided to stay off the hills mainly because we didn't want a soaking and the clouds were obscuring the views anyway.

We took a drive down to Kendal as we hadn't been here before. Kendal of course is home to the famous Kendal Mint Cake as well as K shoes.  

We parked near Kendal Castle and walked up to see the ruin which provides a great view over the town.  There are lots of interesting streets in the town itself and we enjoyed exploring the historic yards and lanes.
