Hamburg Townhall

Up sharp and into town for a day at the museum. 

This is Hamburg Town Hall. Built to impress. C1 gave me some insight into Hamburg's history, which is one of independence and trade. No Kings, no Dukes, just the odd passing invader, who were mostly opposed and sent home with a flea in their ear. 

The museum is magnificent and covers many eras and cultures. The food is good too. 

Afterwards we went for a walk round the best of the architecture, and some refreshment. Home for pasta and a short evening catching up. 

Another day to collapse into bed exhausted.
