Stompin...er...Stampin in the New Year. H.N.Y.

We will not be stompin in the new year. We're watching the baby, and brother and sister in law are coming over. A few snacks...maybe a little euchre...watch the ball drop...one of those bend-over kisses with my wife...AND...A WELCOME TO 2013!! Bedtime will be at 12:12.

Since I want to ensure that my retirement money keeps coming in...I recently purchased all of these stamps. Hey...it's the least I can do.

Actually...they're from a stamp book that I picked up in the Post Office lobby.

I thought of Blip as I was posting this. Maybe you'll have to put it into LARGE too see the detail. An Arizona statehood stamp to honor the fine blippers from the Southwest. A bobcat stamp that one of those blippers posted a while back. A butterfly stamp. Blip has beautiful butterflies! A wood duck stamp...similar to the one I've seen on Blip within the last month .And...the birds of prey 5-stamp...also birds that I've seen blipped lately.

Sooooo...what do the Post Office stamps have over our Blip site? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! Maybe they should come to us for the pictures! "Where's a suggestion box when I need one?"

Lastly...I'd like to point out the Sunshine Skyway Bridge stamp. It is located about 20 minutes from the condo we go to in Florida.

After watching an episode of Oprah that talked about doing small, but kind things...we started paying the toll for the car behind us. (It was only a dollar.) Our kids always enjoyed it, and it was fun to watch the car try to catch up to you...to thank you.

But...here's the problem. When we went in November...the toll had been raised to $1.25. That's an extra 5o cents! Since I'm such a cheapskate...we're going to have to think long and hard about whether that tradition continues. If you do happen to see Oprah, please don't mention this to her.
