sunnies and swimming

L came up from the big smoke yesterday to bring in the new year with me and with neighbor D we cracked open the bottles, tossed a salad, cooked up some pasta with basil and spicy sausage and.....amazingly still awake and not snoring and drooling!.... welcomed 2013 at midnight with a telly countdown from Sydney harbour (already three hours old!!) and some very speccy fireworks.

Managed to keep one of the new year's resolutions on day one with an early morning walk with the hound and then lolled in the pool on another VERY hot day.
Rumour has it, Friday will be merely high 20s so I may have to unearth the thermals...well maybe not.
