Butt of Lewis

After last nights overindulgence it was a very slow start today and I surfaced just before midday. Managed to miss mist of the early rain and it turned into a lovely day so after a beautiful smoked haddock kedgeree cooked my our friend Stuart we headed to the very north of Lewis to visit the lighthouse and Port of Ness. Stunning views with deserted beaches and greeny blue seas.

Headed back to Stornoway in the early evening to see the bands playing at the start of this years HebCelt - Manran were superb and now listening to Beinn Lee before tonight’s headliner Tide Lines play at 10.
